The Ezekiel 33 Eclipse & the Salem Connection

It’s the Eclipse of the century that just keeps on giving.

In my last post on the Great American Eclipse of 2017, I discussed a few strange Biblical synchronicities that were pointed out in amazing fashion by the blog Another blogger has noticed something amazing as well, and this one floored me.

Before I get to that, though, I just want to mention that ever since I first heard about this eclipse last year, there’s always been something about it that has fascinated me. It was a pervasive feeling of “there’s something more to this.” And the closer we arrived at the date of the eclipse (4 days away, as of this writing), the more incredible synchronicities keep popping up.

There is a message in this, a complicated one. While I felt the Eclipse was pointing us all toward Ezekiel 33, Anne Graham-Lotz (Billy Graham’s daughter) just came out with a statement that she feels it is pointing us towards the story of Jonah and his warning for Nineveh (which also has been proven to have witnessed an eclipse during that time period, one that helped the nation repent before God destroyed it). Graham-Lotz feels that’s the message – repent or be destroyed. I believe she’s right. But her statement isn’t what made me say “Wow!”

A blogger posted the following article detailing seven different cities named “Salem” along the path of totality for this eclipse. The article can be found here:

The Seven Salems of the Eclipse

I thought “this is fake news” and so decided to look these cities up for myself. This is what I found:

— 100% Totality

—Very Close to totality, 99.342%

— 100% Totality

— Very Close.  99.83 % totality

Salem, IDAHO
— 100% totality

–100% totality

–100% Totality

At 99.3% totality during an eclipse, the sun will look like this:

The two that aren’t 100% are within 5 miles of totality. Nevertheless, what are the odds this eclipse would put this many “Salems” in the path of 99.35% or greater totality? If this is a message from God, the fact that the 7 Salems are this close to the path of totality (5 of them 100%, the other two greater than 99%) is pretty darn astonishing.

What can the message be? Let’s just free-associate here for a moment.

If this is pointing to Rapture and other end-time prophecies, the number 7 and the word “Salem” have some significant meanings.

5 completely black suns and 2 “diamond ring” eclipses could relate to the message Jesus gave to the 7 churches in Revelation 2 & 3. Two diamond rings go to two of the churches (Philadelphia and Smyrna) who were found to be without fault. The 5 black suns (without light) could refer to the 5 unwise virgins who didn’t buy oil for their lamps and missed the Groom when He returned.

There’s so much here….

Seven is the number of “completion” in the Bible. Completion as in “on the 7th day He rested” and so on.  “Salem” is also a form of the word “Shalem,” which is the Hebrew word for “Completion.” There are other meanings for Salem as well.

They are (quoted from Abarim Publications) “Salem Meaning”

“The general meaning of the graceful root-verb שלם (shalem) is that of wholeness, completeness or “unbrokenness” (and see for the opposite the verb רעעra’a). Our verb is used to characterize the uncut stones of the altar (Deuteronomy 27:6) and the temple (1 Kings 6:7). It tells of a “full” or perhaps “righteous” wage (Ruth 2:12), and the entirety of a population (Amos 1:6). It also tells of “full” and just weights, which are God’s delight (Deuteronomy 25:15 and Proverbs 11:1), and of “whole” hearts devoted to the Lord (1 Kings 8:61). This verb may even denote the completeness of sin (Genesis 15:16), and in some rare cases it may denote friendship (Jeremiah 20:10, Psalm 41:10).

In the Hebrew language it’s quite simple to indicate not only a condition (like shalem), but also the means to get there (to “shalemize”). The usage of this shalemize form in Scriptures is quite revealing. Wholeness is achieved or restored most often by some kind of restitutory payment or covenant: God pays a man according to his work (Job 34:11), but the wicked borrows and does not pay back (Psalm 37:21). The owner of an accidentally killed ox is paid restitution (Exodus 21:36); oil is sold to pay off a debt (2 Kings 4:7); and the Gibeonites swindle Joshua into making a covenant with them (Joshua 10:1). Likewise, shalem is used when vows are to be paid to the Most High, or when days of mourning are to be completed (Isaiah 60:20), and ties in directly to the Messiah and his salvific work (Joel 2:25).

The derivatives of this root-verb are:

  • The famous masculine noun שלום (shalom), meaning peace (Isaiah 32:17). Peace in the Bible doesn’t just indicate a warless state, but rather a state of completeness and harmony or rather un-dividedness. It also covers completeness (Jeremiah 13:19), prosperity (Genesis 43:27), health and safety (Psalm 38:4).
  • The masculine noun שלם (shelem) peace offering or a sacrifice for alliance or friendship (Amos 5:22, Exodus 24:5).
  • The denominative verb שלם (shalam), meaning to be in a covenant of peace (Job 22:21, Isaiah 42:19).
  • The adjective שלם (shalem), meaning perfect, whole, complete, safe (Genesis 15:16, 33:18, 34:21).
  • The masculine noun שלם (shillem), meaning recompense (occurs only in Deuteronomy 32:35).
  • The masculine noun שלמן (shalmon), meaning bribe or reward. This noun only occurs in plural and only in Isaiah 1:23.
  • The masculine noun שלום (shillum) also spelled שלם (shillum), meaning recompense or reward (Isaiah 34:8, Micah 7:3).
  • The feminine noun שלמה (shilluma), meaning reward (Psalm 91:8 only).”

The one that catches my eye first is the reference to the king-priest Melchizedek. Jesus Christ is a king and priest in the Order of Melchizedek. “Salem” is a city known as the place of the Tabernacle of God, and it was later renamed “Jerusalem.”

Several of these words, particularly “Shalem,” also pique my interest. Shalem means “Perfect, whole, complete, safe.” “Shalam” means “Covenant of Peace,” which (when correlated to Salem – Jerusalem) is significant prophetically. “Shelem” is a “peace offering” or “sacrifice” (again, could be tied to the 7-year covenant made over Jerusalem by the Man of Perdition). “Shalom” means “peace.” “Shillum” means “recompense” or Repentance. A paying back of something owed, a debt.

To me, all of these variants of “Salem” fit the ever-growing and multi-faceted “message” that this eclipse possibly represents. One meaning, particularly when it comes to completeness and recompense is the word “Shemitah,” as described by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. Shemitah is when all debts are settled, and land returns to the ones who once owned it. Prophetic significance here is that Israel (at least its population, wants to take the Temple Mount back so that they can begin work on their Third Temple.

So we throw all of these ideas into the hopper and let it turn for a while: Peace and Safety. Covenant of Peace. Recompense. Sacrifice. Peace offering. Completion, the end of a matter, “it is finished.”It also means “wholeness.”  And let’s not forget completion and being finished also means “fullness,” which leads me to “fullness of the Gentiles.”

Yes, this is speculation, but with a purpose. There IS a message here. There are messages all over this eclipse.

Bear in mind as I mentioned in the other post, there are 33.3 days from the eclipse to September 23rd, which is a day after Rosh Hashanah. If you look at Ezekiel 33.3, it reads: “If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

We are to be watchmen and warn people to repent when we see certain things happen. Over the last few days, there has been a big push to take down Confederate monuments. In one case. where a mob was assembled to protest for and against the removal of a stature of General Robert E Lee in Virginia, the chaos quickly ensued and a woman was run over by one of the white nationalists in the area. After I watched the story spread all over the internet, more demonstrations popped up, and now they’re calling for the removal of statues of Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. It seems to me that the races are “nations” that Jesus was referring to in Matthew 24:7, when He said, “For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.” [Matt. 24:7]

Nations aren’t just descriptions of countries, they are groups of people sorted by race/heritage and culture. Guess what is happening right now, right here in the good ol’ U.S. of A.? Nations are rising against nations. Jesus said to not be troubled, though, because these things have to happen, to make way for the birth pains. This is happening as we approach the date of September 23rd, when we will see the famous “Revelation 12 alignment” in the skies. The woman in travail. There’s a huge message in that as well.

Revelation 12King James Version (KJV)

12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Jesus told us to approach God “like a child.” He was referring to the church and those who believed on Him. Here, the child is “caught up unto God and His throne.” Remember the Seven candlesticks and the Sea of Glass? This is Rapture. The reward (shilluma) for persevering in faith and overcoming the flesh and the World. For believing in Jesus Christ BEFORE the signs came, BEFORE God makes it evident to all that He is indeed real, as is His Son and His Holy Spirit.

Yes, there have been a lot of false alarms and a lot of date-setting that never came to fruition. God will not show us a particular date, so Jesus told us to watch, be ready, and look up for “Redemption is nigh.”  Jesus did not tell His believers to “watch out” for the antichrist, He said to “look up.” But when we see the signs of the birth pains, we are to warn people. It’s time to repent. turn your life over to Jesus Christ. Jesus said that in the last days sudden destruction would come upon mankind like as in the “days of Noah” and “the days of Lot.” It would sneak up on them like a snare, when they least expect it. But true believers, those who believed on Jesus and His words will know it’s coming.  For me, I’m excited because I’ll finally see my dear Lord Jesus Christ, when He calls us up to Him in the clouds.

I live very close to the path of totality. I will have 93.3% obscuration percentage.
